Join us as we show you how to host your own Family Engagement Nights that build partnerships between Family, School, and Community within the MTSS (K–5) framework.
EPIC Family Engagement Series 2026-2027
Join EPIC for a two-session capacity-building series for K-5 school teams that helps you build true partnerships with families and community. Teams will explore Kentucky’s MTSS guidance to create routines, roles, and communication practices that make partnership part of Tier 1, not a one-off event.

Printed materials and a guidebook for the Family Engagement Night modeled during each session with complete station activities, letters to families, and explicit KAS connections

What happens at each session
Your team will:
Receive a full guidebook to run a Family Engagement Night, including stations, take-home activities, family letters, and KAS alignment
Map current practices to KY MTSS partnership indicators and set K–5 literacy partnership goals
Clarify roles for LMS, FRYSC, and teacher leaders to plan, host, and sustain events
Build a communication plan that reaches all families, including multilingual learners
Draft or refine a calendar of partnership touchpoints tied to Tier 1 priorities
Set simple participation and feedback metrics to track reach and impact
Plan follow-up classroom routines that extend learning at home
Dates: Literacy Night- August 25, 2026 & Numeracy Night- December 1, 2026
Cost: $1,500 per school for two sessions
Team size: Up to 3 participants per school. Recommended: library media specialist, FRYSC, plus an additional educator or leader.
