HQIR Curriculum Coaching Academy (2025-26 School Year)- Transforming Teaching Through Curriculum-Based Professional Learning
The HQIR Curriculum Coaching Academy is designed to help districts build capacity for high-quality instructional resource (HQIR) coaching, enabling effective curriculum-based professional learning.
Using insights from the text"Transforming Teaching Through Curriculum-Based Professional Learning", district and school leaders and coaches will explore strategies and deepen their understanding of essential curriculum components to create impactful student outcomes.
Academy Highlights:
Comprehensive Curriculum Coaching:
Coaches will gain tools and strategies to support curriculum-based professional learning, including:
-Case studies demonstrating successful curriculum implementation in real districts.
-Detailed role guidance for teachers, administrators, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive collaboration.
-Comparison charts contrasting curriculum-based coaching with traditional professional development approaches.
Framework-Based Training:
Utilizing the KDE Curriculum Implementation Framework, coaches will be trained on:
-Unit Internalization Protocols
-Lesson Internalization Protocols

Registration Details:
Cost: $1,000 per coach for all four sessions (includes breakfast, lunch, and core texts).
Optional: Additional in-district coaching days are available for purchase.
