Dr. Sara Jennings
Professional Learning Specialist- Literacy
With 23 years of experience in education, Dr. Sara Jennings has held a variety of roles, including Teacher, Literacy Coach, Assistant Principal, District Instructional Facilitator, ESS Coordinator, GT Coordinator, Education Recovery Specialist, and Professional Learning for Educator Effectiveness Coach. Currently, she is a Professional Learning Specialist at GRREC/EPIC.
She is a WKU alumni and has earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master's Degree in Library Media Science, and a doctorate in Education Leadership.
Dr. Sara Jennings is affiliated with the Kentucky Reading Association, International Reading Association, and Learning Forward. She has written and contributed to publications such as Enhancing Instructional Leadership through Collaborative Coaching: A Multi-Case Study and Reflections on Professional Development: An Autoethnographic Study in Theories of Practice.
The energy and excitement that comes with facilitating learning and coaching is what Dr. Jennings enjoys most about her work. She finds that witnessing the learning that takes place is incredibly rewarding, and it drives her to create the best product possible for those she is working with.
