Lauren Tanner
Professional Learning Specialist- Literacy
Lauren Tanner serves as an EPIC Professional Learning Specialist at GRREC, bringing over thirteen years of experience to her role. Her career includes positions as an Instructional Coach, Curriculum Coordinator, Building Assessment Coordinator and English/Language Arts teacher for grades 9-12. She has developed School Literacy Plans, coordinated professional development initiatives, and organized School Improvement efforts.
Lauren holds a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a focus on English from WKU, a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Western Governors University, and an Ed.S. degree specializing as an Instructional Leader with Principal Certification from the University of Cincinnati.
As a Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Coach, she actively engaged in supporting teachers and addressing barriers to student learning. Lauren is passionate about collaborating with educators to identify decisions that can transform learning experiences for students. One of her most fulfilling aspects of work is facilitating and leading professional development for teachers. Lauren is a valuable asset to education, and her commitment to professional growth and innovative teaching continues to positively impact GRREC.
