Tara Wright is an EPIC Professional Learning Specialist-Mathematics at GRREC. She has achieved numerous professional accomplishments, including the Campbellsville Teacher of Excellence Award in 2014, Hart County High School Teacher of the Year in 2017, Achievement Teams Certification in 2020, STEM Leadership Certification in 2021, and a Computer Science Endorsement in 2024. Additionally, she received the STEM CS Transformer Award and the 2024 STEM Impact Award, along with completing the EPIC Leadership Coaching Academy Certificate in 2024.

Tara's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Science & Math Education from Western Kentucky University, a Master of Arts in Education as a Teacher Leader from the University of the Cumberlands, and a Rank 1 graduate from Elevate Academy.

Tara is passionate about inspiring and empowering teachers and learners to bring deeper thinking and sense-making into the mathematics classroom. She enjoys collaborating with other educators to explore and equip them with strategies to promote greater engagement and deeper learning. Tara's approach transforms the mathematics classroom into a rich learning environment where students connect real-world phenomena and inquiry to their studies, fostering meaningful connections and demonstrating mathematical practices.
